Truls: on the BMW's that have door pillars and window trim, I use Meguiar's #26. I apply, then immediately wipe with an mf towel. I darkens the trim and gives a semi gloss appearance.

I don't know if that's the application you are looking for.

That helps, may be semi gloss you call it. no clearcoat on it, no gloss

My Expedition has some ares like that, flat black, almost smooth. It's sort of like that anodized trim. Anyway, I treat it with trim dressing. Don't know if that's the best but it turns out OK.

I really like Four Star UPP on flat black paint. Then top it off with Souveran paste once the sealant cures.

Truls- What type of flat black paint are you talking about? Trim, no clear no flake black or old school flat black like this helmet:

Some pics of the car, some gloss yellow and some flat black.

Can ordinary sealers/wax be used on this

Truls: I couldn't give you a recommendation on that finish. Where I use Meg's #26 is those BMW door pillars that are painted in a similar finish.

On my Mach 1, I have vinyl graphics in that color/texture and I just run over them with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant.
