I am about to take the dive and purchase a DA with some other goodies to bring my paint back to lice on my 2000 Lexus ES300. I was wondering if there is anything I need to be cautious about considering the car is older. It still has a pretty good shine but also it's easy to see swirls and such. Here is my plan of attack:

Mother Clay Bar then hit it with this: Wolfgang Porter Cable 7424 Swirl-Free Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-porter-cable-swirl-remover.html)

Any thoughts or opinions?

I have does this before on a black acura with my dad's DA but I used Megs Ultimate compound and swirl X with good results so I am familiar with the process but wanted to try a more premium brand.

Ha ha... when I saw the word "old" I thought I was going to read about a car from the 1950's...

But yes, if this Lexus still has the factory original paint, then it's 13 years old and that is old by most standards when it comes to factory paint.

That kit contains Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, these are the very same products I just did live demonstrations with for both the local BMW Club and the local Mercedes-Benz club and these guys were blown away with the results.
