Here is my Ford Ranger with rain water beading on Colonite 845 @ 6 months. Plus the truck is dirty too. I'm satisfied. Truck was Clayed with Meg's clay, onr lube, 845 put on with Griots DA CL pad white I think. Put on during a warm day in January. 19033

That's about how my vehicle looked several weeks ago. The beads were definitely the same, including those that were not circular. I prepared a mixture of Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax and 845 in a 2 oz. spray bottle. Round and small beading is back!!!! Going on 2 weeks and going strong!

That's crazy, I was just thinking of how I wanted to make some 845 spray wax. Does it still flash away when you mixed the two?

Did you just apply one coat?

And is the car garage kept? Collinite is good stuff, but I can't get 6 months out of it on a daily driver that's kept outside 24/7.

Not to rain on a parade but that looks like it could use another coat as the molecules aren't pushing together all that well? 6mo is a long time for wax! good work!

Time for another coat..use a finishing pad (grey/red) instead of a polishing pad (white) this time.

I will be picking up a pot of Collinites 915 and look forward to comparing it with my past experiences with 845. You know you're a nut when you don't mind if it rains on your freshly waxed car "too" bad... just so you can stare at the bead porn on your hood! I just put a coat of Fuzion on my Impreza and couldn't help but stand in the rain watching it today. People watching probably thought I was insane!

It's in my arsenal and used every time. I haven't found anything that beats its longevity. I'm quite satisfied with it's appearance ever time I use it.

It's a 1990 Ford Ranger pickup. It's my DD and sits outside while my 96 SVT Cobra gets the garage. The only maintenance since January has been 2 runs through an automatic no touch car wash and I carry a spray bottle of ONR at QD strength and a mf cloth for bird bombs. Oh and it's one coat.

I do plan on doing a serious 2BW, a quick clay, and I'll add 2 layers of 845.

Or possibly Ultima Paint Guard Plus followed by 845. I have UPGP on the Cobra and love it. When I redo that after a correction I may use 845 as a LSP after 2-3 layers of sealant.

I just remembered, before I laid down the Colonite on the truck I used Griots one step polish-sealant just to try because it came with the Griots DA.

My vehicles get lots a bird bombs as a thanks for feeding the birds and having many trees on our street. I already have clear coat damage on both my truck and our 98 Volvo because of bird droppings combined with high heat from sun. We get to them as soon as we see them, but you can't stand guard 24x7. That's why our Cobra stays in the garage and is a weekend-sunny day-never in a Walmart parking lot, car.

Also while it sits outside 24x7 it doesn't get driven every day. I put on less 3K a year. I've had 4 spine surgeries, hence the screen name, don't drive everyday. And if I do it's very local.

I would definitely say that is overdue for a new layer of protection.
