Max's New Mustang Project Part II (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/66019-max-s-new-mustang-project-part-ii.html)

Today we loaded Max's Mustang onto a car transporter to be sent off for a complete resto-rod.

Here she is getting loaded up...

And here's the history of that car here at Autogeek...

The day it arrived at Autogeek...

And the Extreme Makeover we did to try to restore the old re-paint...

Next time we see this Pony Car I think it's going to have a few more ponies under the hood and a custom paint job and upgraded running gear and suspension work.

It's going to Wayne Carini's shop at F40.com

This is Wayne's classic car store, F40.com Motor Sports

While I was there a number of cars were dropped off, from this thread....

Also while we were there a car hauler arrived to drop off some recent cars cars from Wayne's adventures...

1932 Stutz DV 32
This is an all original 1932 Stutz DV 32 that Wayne bought out of Klamath Falls, Oregon. The paint appears to be original and in very worn condition. While I was at Wayne's shop, I taught his guys the Mike Phillips Method of restoring antique single stage paint on a 1954 all original Hudson Hornet and they are going to use these same techniques to restore the paint on this Stutz DV 32.

It actually runs and drives as you can see Wayne moving the car towards the shop.

Wayne opened the hood cowel so I could take a picture of the dual overhead cam engine...

The tires are all holding air...

Next off is a Dino Ferrari...

While a beautiful car, the paint is filled with swirls but I also worked with his team on proper machine polishing techniques to create a swirl-free, show car finish.

I've worked with some of the guys i his body shop and they really do good work.

Keep us updated Mike.

If I was closer I'd take my trusty, dusty Canon and document the project.

Wow...that's amazing. Will be following along.

It's going to be a fun convertible cruiser here in sunny Stuart, Florida...

Look forward to watching the progress on this project :props:

Wayne has sent me a few camera pics in the past, maybe he or one of the guys in the shop can send me a couple of pictures once in a while.

I'm happy to do the part that takes time and that's upload and insert the picture so everyone can see it and follow along.

Hi Buddy,

Nothing specific that I know of as of today but we should have an update and possibly some pictures in a few weeks.

Remember to bump this thread or PM me sometime after Thursday, April 17th...

If it'd like most restorations it's probably sitting in a corner waiting on a 'hard to find part'
