i have given the 360 three shots and Im getting fed up. It seems that there is always a greasy residue left on the paint. I have worked in a small section with two large pea sized drops on the pad and no matter how long I work the polish I am left with areas of greasy smears almost. I have tried working the polish until it disappers and working it until its clear and than buffing off. With each method I seem to get the same results.

How are you guys successfully working with the 360??

I only tried it once so far but I did not experience anything like that. For me after the polish broke down there was not much left of it. A quick wipe with a microfilber took care of the little (I mean very little) residue left. It was not greasy at all.

When i use the XMT360 its imo the easyest polish ive ever removed from a car. its almost disapears when applying it.

So your bottle sounds strange to me, (or my bottle is wrong)

I've had issues like that with other products, but never with 360. I'm half a dozen cars into this bottle and each application has been smoooooooooth.

Are you priming your pad? I started lightly priming with XMT pad conditioner... Then I noticed a little gumming on the CCS pads.. So next I decided to cut back on the product application and and not prime the pad, well the product disappeared way to fast IMO. So finally I went back to 2 spritzes and minimal application like 2-3 dots and WALAHHH. Works for me perfectly. I hardly get anything else out of my bag. XMT360 with a orange CCS and Souveran Spray Wax are my deadly combo.

No priming here. 1 small nickel sized amount per 2x2 ft. area.

What RPM are you guys using with 360? And with what pad?

360 is pad dependant. I've only used it once with blue E2K pad to strip previous protection (SGx2, #16x2, both 6 months old), and it have done a fine job. No greasy residue, and it almost dissapeats completely. Love it.
XMT 360 is on AG 10 best product list.:righton:

Thats my process.

i do four squirts of the XMT conditioner when I start but after that the pad is plenty primed. I do notice that the residue starts usually on the second or third section of paint that I try???

Maybe the fillers in it? the oily residue?

Are you sure that your pad is not contaminated with other products in the past? I've never had a problem with 360 using different pads.

no I used a fresh side of the blue and white pad and they both left the residue.

I dont know what to tell you. Looks like the only difference is I dont prime the pad at all. Give that a shot.
