Very new to this forum (in fact first post). I have applied Klasse AIO sealant and then followed it with an application of Pinnacle's Liquid Carnauba Wax (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/65705-needing-some-advice-sealants-wax.html#). Love the results. My question is: When I'm ready to reapply the Klasse, do I have to strip it down and start over due to the coats of Carnauba Wax? And if so, what is the best way to do that? Clay Bar?

Not necessary. The Klasse AIO will remove any wax remaining. However if you wanted to strip the wax you could do a wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash in stripping dilution 1oz per gallon I think. Klasse AIO is a polish ( in addition to a cleaner and acrylic sealant ), a very light one, but keep that in mind if you are reapplying often you are removing clear coat each time. If your are using it because the paint needs correction then ok, but if the paint is still in good condition you could use a product like Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer (http://www.autogeek.net/wg2000.html) or Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion (http://www.autogeek.net/pinpainclean.html) which is a pre-wax cleaner with no cutting ability that will strip away old wax.

While it is possible to have KAIO remove a minute amount of clear on vehicles with soft paint, you really need to be trying.

Klasse AIO is a chemical cleaner with zero abrasives.

It depends on how long the vehicle was exposed to contaminants and whether or not mother nature embedded some surprises in the paint. Since KAIO lasts quite awhile you would probably need to do some form of decontamination with clay or one of the newer pieces of technology that replaces clay. I just received Opti-Eraser and plan on giving that a whirl on my VW soon.

I always thought KAIO had some sort of "nano" sized abrasive particles, but in any case, it's certainly in the same category as WPPL or PPCL and a host of other pre-wax cleaners, none of which are considered to be "abrasive" or remove any measurable amount of paint.

It's possible, but with everything I have read on KAIO over the last few years I have not seen an indication that it has mechanical abrasives.

A pre-wax cleaner like WPPE/PPCL and KAIO are similar but not in the same category. While both "clean" either through chemical and/or abrasive form, KAIO leaves protection whereas WPPE and PPCL do not.

I meant in their ability to remove paint or lack thereof.

First of all...:welcome:...to AGO!

I'd bet that by the time you're ready to reapply Klasse AIO, the majority of the Pinnacle Liquid Carnuba Wax
will have been diminished to a such a level that the Klasse AIO, being that it is a cleaner/sealant,
will suffice in the removal of the remaining Pinnacle Liquid Carnuba Wax, if indeed there were to be any.
