Just a 1 step detail on the exterior and quick interior wipe down.

Its 2005 Toyota Prius, belongs to a friend who just graduated nursing school together with my gf. Her car took a lot beating so its about time to clean the car and coat it with a good sealant.

It will be a daily driver again soon so Im planning on a 90-95% defect removal.

Wash:
Meguiars microfiber mitt
Megs Gold Class#shampoo with Dawn
Raceglaze brush on emblems and tight areas and gas covers

Decontaminate:
Japanese clay bar, forgot the brand, works awesome though
ONR as lube

Wheels:
Mothers wheel cleaner
Variety of brushes
Citrus degreaser for tires and wheel wells

Polish:
Makita 9227 3m 5" backing plate
LC Hydro 4" pads some tight areas
Euroshine 6" green flat pads
Menz PF2500

LSP:
Menz Powerlock sealant 1 coat
Optimum Car wax as second coat
Perl 1:5 on trims
Nanoskin Multi-Dress on tires
Interior dressed with 303 protectant

Total time: 6.5 hours

Quick before shots:

PF2500 is amazing paired with a Green pad, LSP ready and swirl free, only some deeper rids remained.

Results after a coat of Powerlock and OCW

Very nice. As someone whose wife went back to school to graduate with a BSN, I can only appreciate the amount of effort and time that degree entails. Her car looks properly ready for her new career.

Thanks, lots of time and sacrificed. Her car deserved this detail. I know a wonderful career is waiting:dblthumb2:

I actually have a Prius just like this coming up. Same paint. How was the hardness of it?

It was very forgiving, its soft but not too soft, somewhere in the middle range. I find Toyota paint to be easy to work on.

Hope that helps you out.

The clay really pulled out the nasty. That was a big visible difference with just clay alone. She should be very pleased.

Man youre good! May I ask why you used clay instead of say a nano skine sponge or towel, and what grade clay did you use? It looks great!

Yup, she was very happy with the results. The clay pulled out a lot mainly in the hood/roof and front/rear bumper

Nice!

Thanks

Thanks, I dont have the nanoskin towel yet in my arsenal, hopefully i will get one on my future order list. It was a between medium and fine grade clay, it felt lil bit rougher than my tradional megs fine clay.
