Hi guys another question for all of you. Today I washed the largest truck Ive encounted yet, and had some problems. Im a little guy at 5' 6 and had trouble reaching certain areas, the truck came out ok but I usually do better. My question is can anyone recomend a paint safe scrubber with a extension pole and where I can buy it.

You'll find good extension poles in the paint department at Lowe's or Home Depot and they should fit the Montana Boars Hair Brush.

I recommend the 10" Montana Boars Hair Brush AG sells.

You can use any old threaded broom handle pole, as the threads seem to be pretty standard. If you want an extendable pole, you can get a nice in at Home Depot for $30.

The pole I'm using came from the Hoppy Snow Brush, which is like the Snow Broom AG sells. Its a pretty good and light extendable pole. I can't seem to find just the pole online, but it comes with this brush set-up.

A big thanks to all. No this truck was no where near a fire truck but I thought it was big. He wants it waxed soon, how the H*** am I going to reach that hood and roof. I am nervous already, stay tuned.

I'm 6'1, and use a Werner platform. I also have a 2-step plastic step ladder that I use a lot to get to the roof on my F-150.

I've been thinking of geting a brush and pole for washing, but haven't yet. There are some at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and other places, but they have nylon bristles, so not sure about them scratching. Some have a hose attatchment, but I'm not sold on them.

As for the handle, I think if I do buy one, I'll put foam pipe insulation around it, I'm sure I'd hit the handle on something I didn't want to at some point.

As for waxing, do a section that you can reach comfortably, then move the ladder. It's time-consuming, but it's important you don't over-reach. You could fall, or you could lose control or grip on the buffer. Another option is to build your own scaffold, but then you'd have to store it.

Good luck! You can do it. Don't obsess over it, KISS (Keep it simple, Simon).

I think NAPA has them on sale right now.
