Just bought a 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring in Crystal White Pearl last week and need a recommendation. Need to get something on it thats durable, glossy and easy to wash (DIY Carwashes). New to quality products and my research led me to Durgloss cleaners/sealants and Collinite 845 Wax.
I'm thinking:
Heavy hand wash
Iron X
Claybar
DG 501/601 4:1mix (cleaner/polish)
DG 111/601 4:1mix (Sealant/polish)
Collinite 845 (Wax)
Will do by hand or might get the 7424 that ive been eyeing for years..

My question is DG 501 going to give it a great starting cleaning, brighten the white, polish it and make the pearl pop? or just be an overkill and too harsh of cleaner for a 1 week old vehicle? or go with alternative DG101 or DG105 to clean?

-Vehicle produced in Japan 3/13 and sat on small mazda lot for more than 3 weeks+ where they had no one to wash cars and highly active railroad a street away.
-Detailed decently for delivery and most of 95% of "Raildust" removed
-Its hard to get clean at a DIY Carwash with even using the brush, so my guess is its waxless and zero protected and will need a decent cleaner/polish to start.

BTW Happy to join the AG community and appreciate all advice!! :dblthumb2:

You might want to inspect the paint after washing, claying, and iron xing the vehicle. You might just be able to wax after the iron x step. Do you have swirls and light scratches? Is that why you are looking for a AIO?

Welcome nice car. Your product selection should work well. I like the PC but would recommend the GG polisher as its a little more powerful yet still a good bang for the buck.

Second the suggestion for the GG6 rather than the PC--has all the power you'll need and a lifetime warranty.

Most likely you won't need DG 501, DG 105 should have all the cleaning power you will need at this point. In about 1 year I would pick up 501. In the mean time I would recommend purchasing 1-2 bottles of DG Aquawax, DG 901 Car Wash Concentrate, and some quality wash mitts, microfiber towels, and applicator pads. Depending on your taste in tire gloss, I recommend either DG Tire & Rubber Mat Dressing or DG Wet Look Tire Dressing. DG Tire Gloss foam is a beautiful product, has the best spray pattern for a foaming tire product, dries nicely, and leaves a medium gloss finish if wiped with a towel. Don't forget DG Rain Repel for exterior glass cleaning & treatment. Congrats on your new purchase by the way! :)

I agree with loading up with DG products especially 501 and 105. Your car and your wallet will thank you.

When my pearl white Subaru was delivered I just stripped off the dealer prep stuff, clayed it, and applied sealant (Z2pro at the time, using dg111 now) . I didn't start using an AIO until the next year. Definitely get some AW. I use it as I dry. Couldn't be easier.

Welcome, and nice ride!

I have the PC, and it works for me. I considered the GG, and I think now that the handle configuration on the GG would be better. (I don't use the handle on the PC). More power and lifetime warranty is also a plus. I can't justify the cost of a Flex or Rupes for my application.

No scratches, Maybe just some light swirls that are barely noticeable. From my understanding I need to use a good cleaner/ Polish to remove any dirt/ grime/oxidation and get a great base shine before wax application...

Thank you to all suggestions of the GG polisher over the pc7424! Had just assumed they were rebranding the 7424, but overall most agree its a upgrade .. Looking at this combo. Griot's Garage Random Orbital Polisher & Pad Kit, Griot's Garage Random Orbital Machine, orbital polishing kit (http://www.autogeek.net/random-orbital-polisher-kit.html)
Any recommendations for a better or more appropriate cleaner/polish like Wolfgang's or pinacle ?

Nope, 601/501 is as they say "The Bomb". Top that with 601/105 and your done. Maintain with Aqua Wax and DG 932 mixed as a QD. DG 932 is a great rinseless by the way and you get Aqua Waxed at the same time.

So I will see an advantage of the stronger cleaner of 501/601 vs just 105/601 to start ?
