I'm looking for the best 6"pad to use on my Porter Cable polisher with Meguiars 105. Today I wore out my original pad from 2010 and I have no idea what it was and can't find my original post where it was recommended to me ! Thanks, Bob (with a car half buffed)

I'd recommend a 5.5" Microfiber (Preferably cleaned with compressed air) or 5.5" Lake Country Foam Flat/Hydrotechs.

Today I was doing a two step on a navy 550 LI and the paint was so incredibly hard. Surprisingly LC blue HydroTech/M105 out performed D300/Microfiber Pad. You may want to invest in the 5.5" Hydrotechs!

5.5's are the way to go. 6" is just too big for a PC to use efficiently. Make sure you have the correct backing plate as well.

I agree it can all depend on what your working on and the condition of the paint.

I agree 5.5" pads for a pc are going to be more efficient and provide a better correction than larger pads because the smaller ones will be able to continue rotating. If your not rotating your not correcting. :dblthumb2:

Oh and might I suggest more than one pad as well. Never hurts to have back ups!
