How often does this happen to others: Plan to just wash and dry your car and you end up doing a full exterior detail that lasts 2 hours? After the wash, I saw spots on the windows, had to get those off. Clayed the windows, then resealed them with flyby30. Figured since I had pulled the car into the garage to do this, might as well spray some quick wax over the entire car. 2 hours later, my car looks great and I cant even remember what I was thinking about during this therapy session. I cant be the only one this happens to? Am I?

Every time. Normally it starts by saying "Hmm maybe I'll just give the inside a quick vac" Before you know it the buffers out.

Just happened to me the other day. Decided to wash it, then waxed it, noticed bumps so I clayed it, sealed everything, waxed it, tire shine, windows and then changed the oil haha....Looks great though:buffing:

Ummm, it takes me at least 2 hours to get everything out, clean wheels and tires, foam, rinse, do a 2BM wash, then dry with a spray wax or QD.

UGH! Every time. I tell the wife that I am going to "wipe down" the car. She knows by now that I'm a gonner for a couple of hours. Very therapeutic for me.

Yes sir, a simple one hour wash becomes a 2-3 hour detail...

I don't ever wash cars. there are just different levels of detailing.
My "wash" takes 2-3 hrs.
I can never just "wash" a car

Just wondering: Is this just for you car? or for your clients as well?
