Which one is more abrasive? I want to know which one to use on swirl remover and which one to use on pre wax polish. thanks.

Always start foam, and work up. wool pads can end up putting more scratches then taking out.

Wool pads are typically more abrasive in nature and saved for compounding. What type of machine are you using ??

a 7424. would u use swirl remover and pre wax polish with an orange pad? i dont have a wool pad but was thinking about getting one.

I would use swirl removers and an orange pad as needed. I much prefer to work within the different degrees of a polish (Finishing Polish ..... Compound) versus yellow or wool pads personally.
