Hello from Montana! I just purchased my first brand new vehicle, and am stepping up my game on detailing. I ended up ordering the Forum Faborite Kit (Klasse sealant/polish + Pinnicle Sov.)

Anyway, I ended up getting clear bra applied, and has originally though it was XPEL PPF, but turns out it's Llumar PPF. Anyone have any experience on maintaining this particular film? I'm not sure what's safe to use on it, what can be used to remove scratches/swirls, and how to avoid them in the first place. I've heard Plexus is recommended for PPF? Will XPEL's PPF cleaning/sealing products work with my LLumar film?

If anyone has any helpful suggestions it'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

Ty

-Hello from Montana!

Hi Ty and...:welcome:... to AGO!

-I just purchased my first brand new vehicle<<<:props:,

-and am stepping up my game on detailing.
I ended up ordering the Forum Faborite Kit (Klasse sealant/polish + Pinnicle Sov.)

^^^Good Choice^^^

Anyway, I ended up getting clear bra applied, and has originally though it was XPEL PPF, but turns out it's Llumar PPF.
Anyone have any experience on maintaining this particular film?<<<I've found it to be thinner (mils wise) than XPel's...
and more susceptible to 'marring'. Easier to install, though.

I'm not sure what's safe to use on it, what can be used to remove scratches/swirls, and how to avoid them in the first place. <<<See below.

-I've heard Plexus is recommended for PPF? <<<NO!!!...Plexus type products are better used on "polycarbonate-plastics"^^^

-Will XPEL's PPF cleaning/sealing products work with my LLumar film?<<<Most definitely: Yes!!

If anyone has any helpful suggestions it'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

IMO...
Use of the following products will assist in ensuring the looks, longevity, and warranty of your PPF.

Thanks Bob! I was a bit dissapointed to find out he used Llumar instead of XPEL, but not much can be done about it now. I'll take your advice and pick up some of Premier or XPEL PPF products.

Since the Llumar is fairly easy to scratch, are there any products that can be used to buff/polish the film? My next investment is a DA Polisher, so hoping there's a polish that'll be mild enough for my clear bra.
