I have a 2004 audi and I think im going to use amsoil. I want 5w-40 oil as it is better than 30, but I would like to know if I get the regular or the euro car formula as my car is euro ?

I would go with Euro

Do we really need another oil thread,
didn't you already have one?

you have a Euro car go for the Euro oil--what could be simpler? I mean, obviously they make the Euro oil for the Euro cars, not for the Asian cars or the American cars, because then it would be called Asian car oil or American car oil. Tell me if I am over thinking this...

I was thinking like if you bought the car in europe, we bought ours in the USA as we live here. I might be over thinking it

The Euro oil is for cars made in Europe. AFAIK Audis are made in Europe. Even if you buy it here, it was still made in Europe, so it uses Euro oil.

Audi Parts Store - EuropaParts.com (http://www.europaparts.com/)

You can select your model and it will show you whatever parts you need for your Audi. Also, audizine.com is probably a better forum for non-detail related questions in the future, great community as well.
