Been looking for a Presoak before washing with my foam gun to help loosen up some of the dirt, and bugs on the paint. Looked at Auto Finesse citrus power but looks a bit pricey per application.Anyone have anything they use with good results?

Why not pre-soak with the soap that you are using in your foam gun.

There's a couple of presoak options listed in the following threads:

I wonder if you could pre-soak a whole vehicle with a "bug squash" type of product (Popr Boys or 1Z) and get the same type of "no touch" cleaning benefits? They are supposed to be LSP safe. Don't know how they would work on dirt though.

I just use a foam cannon with a pressure washer. I did some eyeball testing and found the trick really I just to use a pressure washer. While pre-soaking I'm sure does help (I do it), I've fend a pressure washer will remove almost all of the "grit" on a reasonably maintained car and wheels. It remove dirt my hose won't touch.

So, why their are a lot of costly chemicals out there, most times if you have a hose you can use a pressure washer. You only really need one that is <$200.

I just bought af avalanche and so far it seems to work really well. It is a bit pricey as it only comes in a 5L jug, but a little goes a long way.

I also bought it because I like the fact that its safe and can be used for your maintenance washes. It doesn't strip your lsp. It was developed specifically for foam cannon applications, and it removes a ton of crap off the surface prior to your hand wash.

Another choice is cg's honeydew. It's relatively cheap and creates a lot of foam. Does a good job at breaking up dirt too.
