I used 303 Fabric/Vinyl Cleaner diluted 15-1 and it did this to the car :O!!!!

I read a review where someone did the whole interior with this product :O.

What happened here? I sprayed it directly at it, i didn't saturate and i usually spray it to my mf and then wipe, but in this case, the inside was DIRTY.

I'm no expert, and its kind of hard to tell in the picture. Looking at the pic it is hard to tell if that is dirt or another color coming through. Have you owned the car since new? Was that part redyed at some point?I have used pretty much all the 303 products and have had nothing but good luck. I have used the vinyl and fabric cleaner undiluted on really dirty tan leather with no issue. I guess that's not an answer to your question though.

I remember a similar post (perhaps on Autopia) where the same thing happened when someone was cleaning a white leather armrest with Leather Master, I think. Seems the white dye was very thin and when removed made it look like dirt on the armrest.

15.1 seems too diluted to damage anything in my opinion.
I use 4.1 / 5.1 with different APC´s and in 15Plus Years doing this Never had a problem with this kind of dilution.

Maybe the bottle you were using had previously some residue and got mix with 303.
is just a quick guess!!!

This is a sample of things bad on detail´s, that´s why We charge!!!!
Better luck next time!!

Lexol leather cleaner did that to a Lexus I was working on.

Took it home and used it on living room leather sofa and same thing happened.

Maybe the part was "repaired" by the used car department lot fixer upper guys. Have you ever seen those guys with their little airbrush fixing interiors ? Some can do quite a good job fixing worn areas. They have paint recipes and color wheels to match the interior colors.

The only issue is, sometimes the colorant or paint they use isn't as tough as the original finish.
