Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice. I have a 2007 Volvo S60R in Black Sapphire Metallic. I have been told that the paint is fairly hard. I have many spider webs and holographs in the paint from years of poor washing techniques. I have the porter cable 7424xp. Here is my plan...

1. Wash with foam gun
2. Hand wash, 2 bucket method
3. Dry with waffle weave drying towels, using detailer spray to lube
4. Mothers clay bar with detailer to lube
5. M105 Compound
6. M205 Polish
7. M135 Sealant
8. Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Wax

I know that there is no one right way to do things, but I am specifically looking for pad advice. I have a wide variety of LC foam pads, including both hyrdro and flat, as well as a couple of LC dual cutting microfiber pads. Any advice on what I should start with?

TIA
-Patrick

I would do a test spot with 205 before you use 105 and you should always do a test spot with the less aggressive first always.

Start with lc flat white pad and m205 on test spot first.
