I was contacted by a client the other day and he told me that his company was doing siding work with this stuff called dryvit. They sprayed it and the wind must have carried some of it onto cars in the parking lot. My job would be to remove the dryvit from these cars. Does anyone know how to get this stuff off. Almost feels like concrete.

To whoever reads this and wants to know all the details, I can send a message. The short version is that it's a royal pain in the butt. You start by a really good wash( two bucket and change the water at least twice), get the heaviest duty detailing clay and go to town. Next be prepared to correct all the hazing and tiny scratches that were caused by removing the dryvit (very similar to concrete). Wax or apply sealant and your done. Very short version. I will be uploading picks

Read through this...

How To Remove Concrete Overspray off car paint (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/54252-concrete-overspray.html)

Not sure if Back-Set would help in this application but since it dissolves concrete off paint you don't get as many scratches to have to remove from the process.

Maybe next time check with the company to see if they have a recommended product or procedure to remove the dryvit.

Well I feel bad you posted this on May 12th and then updated it on May 27th and no one, including me found this thread until today.

Sorry about that...
