What about washing media like a mitt?

Grit Guards?

Clay bar and lube?

You can get an all purpose cleaner to use to clean your pads and plus you can use it for other things like trim tires wheels.

What kind of pads and what size are you using?

Was just looking at getting a polisher, compounds, and pads today

You'll want at least 2 pads for each step.

I did a full polish on my car last year with two orange pads and two white pads. It was painfully slow because I had to kept cleaning them. You can get by with 2 of each but I would invest some more.
