Does anyone use these? Are they paint safe? I am thinking of picking up a few packs to use as general purpose exterior towels in addition to the ultra high quality Carpro/Cobra towels that I have.

Honestly, I would use them alot for doorjambs and other less sensitive painted surfaces and not on my exterior paint. The jambs on some of my cars have a lot of painted surface and I don't want to scratch the finish.

I am basically looking for something a bit higher in quality than bulk microfibers but lesser in quality than Cobras etc to use for less sensitive painted surfaces and these seem to fit the bill.

I have them, they work great for exterior paint. They are a high quality, soft towel.

I use these for polish and wax removal. I only use them for this purpose. They are a great towel for sure. I just bought 2 more 3 packs recently. I'll probably buy a larger bulk pack in the future.

I use regular MF towels from autozone on door jambs and they work fine without scratching.

Good towels. I like the ultimate wipe for polish/wax removal. But the ssmf's are a good all around towel.

do they have a plush nap and short nap or are both side the same?

Both sides are the same. If you think through this logically, Megs offers some of the best polishes and compounds in the industry, why would they sell an inferior microfiber that may potentially harm your paint after you have polished with their products.

Not directed at the OP, but IMHO, too many people get caught up in it is only Meguiars, or just Mothers, so it can't be as good as insert boutique brand name here. I have found there really isn't too much difference between Mothers, Meguiars and the boutiques...

Hi Drew...

I have both of these Meguiars X2020-"styles" and use them for polish/wax removal.

-Someday, if these excellent Meguiar's-branded MF-towels ever become 'too worn'...
I may relegate them for door-jamb/G.P.-cleaning.

I have some of these I got free with the clay kit. IMHO they are nothing special. I use them to clean seats, etc.. with. They are soft, but not very dense. They have some type of border, that likes to curl up. If your looking for some fine towels for not too much cash, check out MicroFiber Tech or Chemical Guys clearance page. Both have paint worthy towels for great prices.
