Hey all. I washed the car last night and put another coat of Wolfgang's deep gloss paint sealent 3.0 on And let it dry for an hour before removing it. Paint felt nice and smooth as I removed it. I went and felt the car today and it feels/sounds like sandpaper!! I know this product is sensitive to moisture, could this be a result of too much humidity during/after application?? How do I fix this problem, does it need to be clayed all over again?

Where did you have it stored at? Did you apply in shade? Was the car fully dried? I did the same thing with my car the other day and it went flawless. Little more info might help come to a conclusion

+1 on the pollen, did the car sit out overnight?

Pollen shouldn't make a "slick" car feel like sandpaper. I'm dealing with pollen now, and it seems to be as "slick" as the surface its sitting on. I would leave it alone.

Next time you wash it, just go over it with a spray sealant like Wolfgang Spritz. The "slickness" is only temporary.

Doesnt the sealant have like a 12 hour curing time before taking off? I could be wrong on that

no, the curing time starts AFTER you take it off. Could it be that something dried on there? Try going over your car with a QD after the sealant cures.

I washed it at 12 at night and backed it directly into my garage and shut the door before I waxed it. I just tried using detailer and it does not take it off. I quess I will try a re wash.

Washed it again and its nice and smooth. As far as prep the car was washed real good beforehand and was nice and smooth. it was clayed last year and the car did not get more than 5000 miles and is garage kept.
