Accurate, easy to use, and keep me from getting into trouble if the surface temperature is climbing a bit too high...:props:

I use mine to measure tire temps.

It's handy to check inflation and weight balance.

It's handy to check inflation and weight balance.

Did this for years in the trucking industry! When I stopped for the night I would temp my tires and if I found one hotter than the rest I knew I had to get up a little early and check the pressure before starting my day.

As to the OP I use mine all the time for a variety if things. Not just detailing.

I own one, and use it for a variety of tasks. For auto detailing, I use it to check the temperature of the panels prior washing and polishing to ensure that the surface is not too hot to work on.

Mine comes in real handy when I show a customer how hot their black vehicle gets inthe Florida sun and how cool a silver one is.. opens their eyes on the importance of keeping the finish protected.
