Need a better compressed air Blow Gun

I have compressed air lines that drop down on each side of the car, in my shop. Attached to those are coil hoses (awesome), and attached to those are blow guns. I can't find a blow gun, locally that will last more than about a month or two without finally falling apart or leaking.

I use them hard, at least 5 days a week. Compressed air is a HUGE part of my detailing method.

I like the nozzle length of my currently ones (10"-12" can reach beside and under seats and still be usable everywhere else) but I hate that they fall apart and I also don't like that they don't have a rubber tip. Altough I never have, I'm worried i'm going to eventually poke a leather seat or my eye. I wrap black tape around the end which only last a few days.

Willing to pay for good ones that will last 6 months + and have all the features I suggested. Also needs to be comfortable and ergonomic. I work a ton and am prone to tendonitis.

Keep in mind that “blow-guns” are usually regulated-down to~25-30psi.
Doesn’t take much to remove this safety feature for some added OOOMPH!, though.

Granger Industrial supplies is what I though upon seeing the title of your thread. When I got my compressor at the shop I was dead set against any Chinese made components to go with it so I went to this place and got my air fittings, coalescing filter, regulators and blow gun.

The blow gun has a quick disconnect on the air discharge end and comes with several different quick connecting tips including a rubber tip and a 6" tube among other tips.

I was a little skeptical about the quick disconnect at first but over time it has proven to be a great design that never comes uncoupled by accident. It's very nice to be able to simply and quickly change tips to accommodate different tasks.

I can't remember the brand name right now but I'm headed up to the shop shortly and will post the brand and model number so you can take a look at your convenience.

As I recall, it wasn't over $50 and worth every cent. :dblthumb2:

For what it's worth, Granger don't sell no junk either.

Kevin Brown just picked up the Prevost line and they make a lot of different blower styles. I just picked up a new coil hose and their high flow S1 couplers. I have a new rubber tipped blower on the way. :dblthumb2:

I'm looking into the pistol grip 12", speedair brand air guns on the grainger site.They look good. I'm having trouble finding a rubber tip, though. They might not make one. Perhaps another manufacturer makes one that will fit.

the system I'm using right now looks almost identical to the prevost system. That pin in the trigger always falls out after about 2 months. If it doesn't the o ring starts to leak soon after.

I wonder if the prevost brand is better? I love that style of air gun. Mine literally look identical to that with a different brand name. Those are nice coil hoses. Mine don't have a straight section before the air gun like that.

I really like the ergonomics and large trigger of this gun. I'll probably go with the typhoon "pro" which is chrome plated on an aluminum body.

The best thing is that it can be disassembled, which means I can probably replace any type of seals or o rings if they go bad.

Thanks Dave and Bob. I'm still looking at the speedair blow gun on the grainger site. Holy Cow, Colliflower has tons of fittings, hoses, etc. I'm going to bookmark that site for sure. That may definitely come in handy.
