The question was raised on a earlier post asking if Chemical Guys V-7 was removing LSP ( wax). The complaint was that after several detail sprays after washing the vehicle there was no longer any beading from the wax. It was suggested that they take a panel and put their wax on and then on one side only apply V-7 over it and then see how the beading is after several washes. If I understand it correctly, a sealant sheets water off as apposed to wax that beads. Could the V-7 be simply covering up the wax OR is it in fact as suspected removing the wax and how is one to know? Several people replied having the same results and wondering if alcohol in V-7, if there is any might be removing the wax?

Both sealant and wax will bead AND sheet water.

I use V7 after every wash on my car and it still beads like crazy... granted mine is coated with 22ple.

V7 may be adding its own characteristics, but its not removing whatever is under it.
