You know those jobs where you can't believe you can remove the paint transfer?
Let's post those pics here.

Here's mine:

This customer got this Mustang from their sister and they needed to sell it. But it had some sever paint transfer on it.

So I tried clay, speedy prep towel and Nano Skin DA Pad.

The only thing that worked was Red Clay Form Clay Magic.

It took about 3 hrs to remove the paint.

Griot's Garage has a DA Pad that you put your clay in. I wish I had that for this kind of job.

did you try lacquer thinner or goof off?

No harsh chemicals on paint!
I don't know why you would use Lacquerer thinner on paint. It eats paint.
So no I didn't use paint remover.
Clay is the product to use to not cause future damage to the paint.

lacquer thinner is just fine on paint and works much better than clay at removing paint transfer than clay in my experience.

I wouldn't consider lacquer thinner a "harsh chemical" either. Maybe something like hydrofluoric acid like Megs Wheel Brightener...

Almost any type of cleaner wax and a PC w/ white pad will take off paint transfer.

Just to restate what has already been said... about 1 minute with PC7424XP + 3" Orange Light Cutting Pad + M105 = No more paint transfer.

I know it is not nearly as bad as the OP's example, but there is no way I would have spent any amount of hours trying to do this with a clay bar.

I used lacquer thinner to remove yellow paint stripe splatter on a 1991 Camaro. The truck that painted the road spilled it all over and my dad was forced to drive through it slowly.
There was too much to use clay. There were huge globs of it.

Lacquer thinner can be used on cured paint, unless it is lacquer I suppose.

well I don't carry lacquerer thinner with me.
I have never come across paint transfer this bad before.
On a small paint transfer I'll use 105, a mf and it works fine.
I don't think Tarminator would have budged this stuff. It was stuck on there for a few years.
I didn't want to break out the wool pad on this due to the adhesion of the paint that was stuck to it. A wool pad is very aggressive. Yes it might have worked but I would have to have been very careful as to not burn through the original paint.
I'll put some lacquerer thinner in my van for next time I come across this.

Goof off works well for me when removing paint transfer.

I hate to use thinner but sometimes it is necessary. I try to avoid it at all costs but it is always good to have SOME on hand just in case. If you are to use it on paint it does the same thing that compounding does, it'll slowly burn through the clear coat, only it will leave a dull finish. Just be sure to clean and polish the area that you hit and there should be no issue. HEED MY WARNING! do not put laquer thinner on ANYTHING PLASTIC. It melts plastic, which is why it is only sold in metal containers. If you try to use it to take paint transfer off of say a plastic door mirror it will melt the paint INTO the plastic, and you will really be in a pickle then.
