I am thinking of getting the 3" backing plate and 3" LC pads for tight areas on my vehicles. Will a DA polisher (I have the HF) run this backing plate and pads okay? Are the RPMs too high for a small plate and pads?

Idk anything about the HF machine, but I use the LC 3" BP and 3" pads on my porter cable all the time and they work perfectly at any speed.

I'm not familiar with an HF DA polisher and won't speculate on it's power/rpms
in regards to running the 3" LC-backing plate equipped with the LC-3" pads.

However...A starting point, for me, would be:
Does your HF DA polisher have a 5/16” thread...in order that it
will accept the LC 3" backing plate...like the PC, GG, & Meg's DA's ?

Yes as far as I know. I put a CG 5" backing plate on it already and have 5.5" pads for that. I just want the 3" pads for mirror housings, bumpers, etc.

3" pads and backing plate will work just fine on your DA.

I've got a PCXP and HF DA. All of my LC backing plates will fit on both machines without any issues.
