I'm a newbie, so which one is better, or is this like comparing apples and Oranges. Will be going on a Silver 2013 Tundra Crewmax. Thanks.

Sealants and Wax both offer protection but sealants usually last longer than "waxes". If anything, you can "top" with the sealant under the wax.

Both are sealants and I have been really impressed with Megs Ultimate Wax. Good durability and sheds dirt / stays clean really well too. I have not used Wolfgang DGPS but if it is anything like Blackfire sealant it is a good sealant.

I'm pretty sure ULW is a synthetic sealant just like WDGPS. It is a fair comparison. Many OTC products are labled with familiar words such as "wax". In my opinion both are good products that I wouldn't hesitate to use. However, I really enjoy Wolfgang Deep Gloss as of late. It is a breeze to apply and remove. It has held up well on my daily driver and looks just as good as it did 3 months ago when it was applied. Of course good prep work is the key. You get out of it what you put in. Just my opinion..........

Welcome to AGO!

I stand corrected :P Learn something every day.

Just read the description for MULW and yep, it's a "synthetic polymer wax".

I used Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax, Megs Liquid Carnauba Wax, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax on 3 side by side panels on my black acura cl. Could not tell any difference all three looked great. Went with the Ultimate Liquid Wax as it should last longer.

I've used both on my silver car. DGPS just looks and feels better. And it lasts longer too.

I have used Megs Ultimate Liquid wax and like it a lot but it can be a little finicky to work with . ULW gives a harder colder reflection

I use BFWD now and to my eye ,it gives more of a carnauba look which I have read Wolfgang look is similiar to BFWD. It gives a deeper darker reflection.

This is on black paint,on lighter colors,I really dont see much of a difference.

Wolfgang,ULW, and BFWD are all good choices !

Why is it finicky to work with?

THanks for the replies everyone.

Sometimes when removing it you would see streaking. The streaks could be removed by lightly dampen your microfiber and buff again. The suggested method is to lay down a thin layer of liquid UW and buff off in 3 to 5 minutes. Too thick can lead to streaking. The streaks will also dissipate on their own in a relatively short time.

While Meguiar's has not advertised an "improved" version, they did tweak the formula a bit to nearly eliminate difficulties folks were experiencing in the liquid version.

The difficulty did not seem to exist with the paste version.

What color Lake Country CCS pads should I use to apply with a GG?
