Hi everyone.
I was trying to take out some light scratches and swirls of my 99 mercedes with M105 w/ yellow pad on my PC7424XP, and it seems like nothing happened to the paint.
Should I go with Surbuf or MF pad to take those scratches and swirls out? Since I was thinking going more aggressive but I don't want to spend couple hundred on a rotary :(
Thanks in advance.

I prefer MF cutting pads to surbuf.
Give it a go. I just used them for the first time the other night. I only used the weight of the machine and it worked beautifully. You'll probably have to clean up the marring with a 2nd step.

You have hard paint for sure, Ceramiclear to be specific. I had the same exact problem with my VW with the same products.
I reread this article http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/hot-topics-frequently-asked-questions/47152-ceramiclear-paints-careful.html
and switched M105 to Menzerna IS-1500. Worked like a charm with Orange or White pads, then followed with SF-4500 and wowee.... happy face.

I would go with Surbuf, you get 4 for the price of a MF. Haven't seen anything a surbuf hasn't taken off.

Cerami clear on a 99 Benz?? Are u sure about that?
Surfbuf pads cut like crazy.. most definately more aggressive than any MF pad i've used.
I suggest you post a pic for some better advice.
