Hey guys - here's the story..... Just sent out one of our vx5000s to get overhauled and it is in the mail to come back hopefully by tomorrow. Well today we were heating our other one up and steam and water is shooting out of the wand port on steamer housing- even without plugging the wand in. This is a huge dilemma seeing as we could not finish that job, the job after it had to be postponed, and we need it for tomorrows and Wednesdays jobs :/.

I have the steamer opened up and I notice a two wire connector is not plugged in and maybe should be - with that said, it could go in a couple of places. Can anyone help me out that knows and understands the insides of the vx5000? Im hoping it is a simple fix like plugging this into the right port :/ If you have knowledge of this please call me as soon as you can so I can get this thing back on the job! Thanks in advance! 615.967.8121

Have you tried calling vaporsystems directly?

Perhaps give Renny Doyle a call? I know his company uses the VX5000 religiously.

I did try that - I guess normal people don't work on Sundays lol.

Thank you for the info man. I did call and got a hold of Renny's wife who was super nice and tried to help in many ways. They apparently reinforce vx5000 hoses which I will definitely send them my hoses - they get beat up pretty bad when using them all day everyday.

I will hopefully get a hold of Steve tomorrow at Vapor Systems and hopefully he can walk me through it :/ I also had a friend who is an engineer for Nissan swing by and look at it but without the schematics it was tough to diagnose the issue 100%.

Thanks again for your help man.

Anthony. I had the same type of thing happen to my Dupray. I turned it off, unplugged it nd emptied the water and started over. It worked fine after that. Have no idea what, if anything, fixed the problem. But, I feel your pain. It is very frustrating. Good luck. Hope Steve can help you.
