Was in line at the Quick Lane at the Ford dealer--saw several older, well-preserved cars ahead of me--very encouraging for Motorcraft, I guess.

Anyway, I am a "protect my investment" kind of guy more than a true detail hobbyist.

Lots of pictures posted of mirror-like shines. Lots of pictures posted "before and after. "

Let's see pictures of what a detail hobbyist's car looks like after years and years of consistent, meticulous cosmetic care. Please tell us how long you have been looking after the car when you post.

My mom's 2001 Honda Accord. Purchased in late 2009 with just under 30,000 miles on it. Detailed by me in September 2010 - had just over 31,000 miles on it then. Currently it has I think about 43,000 miles on it and is my mom's daily driver. Now my parents are separated, so I don't get to see my mom (or the car) as often, but I try to wash it at least once a month and detail it several times a year for her.

Very nice. Hard to believe its 12 years old. Sorry to hear about your folks. I think that's one of the impulses behind this hobby and old cars in general--an impulse towards constancy in our lives.

Any others?

2000 F-350, it's a work truck, Ive had it for 6 years. I use it to tow a 37ft 5th wheel, explore back roads, haul dirtbikes, etc. it gets abused. Currently has 230k on the clock.

Gets a polish and wax twice a year.

How it sits now, filthy lol

Here's my 1999 Chrysler Intrepid. Most of them are Dodges, but this one was built in Canada! (Same manufacturer anyway).

It's my first car, and I've continued to drive it for 7 years now. Trusty little fella. Takes on snow like a 4x4 too! Colorado has never gotten the best of us. :p It's been 143k miles now.
