Is this a good cigar?

I don't smoke cigars on the regular, so I couldn't tell the difference between a squirrel or a swirl in the cigar world.

I got it in trade for some homebrews, and it was obtained when my co-worker was stationed overseas in Italy.

Sorry for the crappy cameraphone pics..

What makes a good cigar stand out from the run-of-the-mill, etc?

Nice! Just be sure to get her in a proper humidor to stop it from drying out, or just pop it open and enjoy it with a nice port wine :xyxthumbs: (I'm an ex cigar addict....too much $$$)

Alot of factors, including what you want. Hand rolling, veins, aged (maduro) if you like that, where the leaves are from, list goes on..

I agree with ray. Open it up cut off the cap light with torch lighter or if there is cedar inside the tube use that to light it. Smoke slowly and enjoy.

I'm planning on opening it this evening. Nothing on the books tonight but a relaxing evening and great weather.

Right. So it's not as cut and dry like the Mequiars vs Turtle Wax debate.. :P :) :props:

Well the bar is set, then! I've had romeo and juliets at weddings, and "Itsaboys" in celebration of baby's births.. but that's about it.

The band looks authentic. I'd know better if I could see and smell the cigar,
but it looks good from here.

Enjoy a fine cigar, my friend.
