Both "work"... Microfiber detergent is preferred.

I wash them in the washing machine with regular laundry detergent. No problems here.

I did that too, and then tried some of the Blackfire microfiber cleaner. To me anyway, there is a noticeable difference in softness / feel between the two approaches, with the Blackfire stuff the clear winner...

I'm using Chemical Guys' detergent. Love it and economical for me.

I recently read a post on homemade washin powder.
Borax
Baking soda
Arm and hammer washing soda
Oxi clean powder
And a bar of zote laundry soap.
I tried it although I didn't have arm and hammer washing soda and couldn't find zote so I got another brand of laundry bar soap.
I mixed the oxi, baking soda, borax, & borax washes by hand and rinsed with a bit of vinager and I was 100% BLOWN AWAY!!

Are you guys drying them. Alot of times if you dry them in the dryer that will cause them to be like that. Some people resolve this by boiling them, wringing them out then letting them air dry.

I've had mixed outcomes honestly. I dry on low setting for time and then others I will air dry by hanging.

My question to those that are air drying is...how are you doing it? With a real clothes line and pins? I'm thinking about fabbing up a "line" of hooks on that are protruding out from the wall to hang up and be free of anything.

I air dry all my mf towels. I just use a line with clips and let it hang. It usually dries within a day or two and when you remove I just "whip" them in the air real quick to loosen them up then fold and store.

I use Arm n Hammer with oxy clean with hot water - works just fine.....

P.S. - we use this method for over 500 MFs lol. They last approximately 6 months before replacing.

I use Griot's Microfiber cleaner + Tide Dye/Fragrace Free (Hot/Cold). Works very good for me.
