Wash:
wax based shampoo
meduim grade detailers clay


Wax:
Cyclo dual head, meduim cut pad
cut polish/glaze mix
use MF towles to buff
final wipe with detail spray

no.... dust to glory is the name of the ministry that our church is under. and it was once the name of the youth group i was in. i just felt it was appropiate for the type of work i do, automotive reconditioning

Lookds really good, I like the reflection you got out of that Jeep.

Question, what did you use to remove the tree sap? I just did a big truck that was covered in tree sap and it was a pain to remove the tree sap and took me a long time.

For the tree sap I used a medium duty detailers clay and it came off pretty easy. Sometimes I use Stoners bug and tar remover, works great on sap too. And if you get most of it off but still look stuck on clear coat, you need to get yourself a "true cut" polish. The difference being that a "true cut" has grit in it, so it actually cuts at clear coat removing left over. But it's not really abrasive like a compound.

mmmm....true cut polish huh...sounds interesting...so would you say that the true cut polish would level out the clear coat? I'll try the medium duty detailers clay first and the Stoners bug and tar remover but I'm curious on this true cut polish...sounds very interesting.

I think it could to an extent. But I'm not one of those people who go around measuring the paint and what not. The polish also does a great job of cleaning the paint as well. There have been several cars that when I'm done the pads have turned almost black because of all the other junk still on the paint. I also use a true-cut compound with wool pads, now that's some cutting stuff. I did a 7 step paint restoration on an older mustang, when it was all said and done, buddy it was beautiful!!
