I have a gg6, I don't want to buy a smaller backing plate.

I have a GG6 as well 3rd gen with a 5" backing plate and recommend you pick up a new backing plate.

5.5 pads are much easier to work with :xyxthumbs:

I have used blacklight with both White pads and Black pads

I would think a white or green pad would work perfect for you!

Which 5" backing plate did you use on your gg6?

Any good finishing pad will work. Speed 3-4 on a PC polisher. Don't spin it like you would correcting paint. Work it slowly and not a lot of pressure.

+1 for 5.5" pads!

I use black light with black or blue LC pads.

Same here :D blue seems too work really well with it in terms of very light swirls

I went ahead and got the 5 inch backing plate and the 6 pack of 5.5 inch pads. I am super excited to use the combo BL+Pete's 53+V7.

If you want to add a twist put some black wax from CG on before the Petes '53. Stunning deepness!

I have a black truck. Would it be save to top black light with Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0?

BL is more commonly topped with a wax (or V7), but you should be fine using WDGPS3.0 after allowing BL to cure for a bit.
