I polished the valvecover on my TDI today. Didn't turn out terrible for a first time project. It was kind of odd to work with. I had to sand it to remove some of the odd casting marks but left some of the very large blemishes. Im in the middle of replacing the turbo and that big piece of aluminum was screaming at me ti take a break and play with the new toys. I got some products from Zephyr to start out with and picked up a DeWalt 849X the other night to run the pads since my flex is not set up for the job. Still keeping the Flex though as I like it much better for other tasks.
I used the following
Blue Air Way/Emery 87 Bar
Yellow Air Way/Tripoli
Purple Air Way/ Green Chrome
White Air Way/ White Chrome
Soft Cotton/ Green Moss Platinum
