Hot Water Extractor!!!!!

do you guys add the cleaning chemical to the tank? or use it in a spray bottle instead? and just use hot water in the extractor? i heard its not good to put any chemicals in the tank at all . hmmm what should i do.

I have a hot mini extractor and I do not put any chemicals in my tank. The directions with the equipment said I could add it if I chose to.I prefere not to add it, that way there are no chemicals on the heating element

Plain water is all u need. Just spray APC or any carpet cleaner into the carpet let it dwell for abit and agitate it with a brush.
You might need defoamer to clean out the hose and recovery tank.
