When I bought my car a few months back, I could barely see out of the windows. It was bad, water spots like you wouldnt believe.

Took it to a SIMONIZ car wash the very next day and they clayed, polished, and waxed the car. Looked awesome. Got a deal on it for $100.

However, what wax do they use? It's been nearly 5 months and water still beads very well! Granted I wash it and use spray wax every time but should wax last this long?

Note: I plan to strip it and perform my first DA job sometime around May

It ranges, from a few weeks to a year.

There's no clear formula - way too many variables (mostly Mother Nature) - but it sounds like you're adding a bit of extra protection on a frequent basis, which would explain the beading.

Well, I'm glad to see the fruit of my meticulous endevours!

Didn't know if this was some special synwax or if it was anything I was doing.
