New to this forum, but not to the forum world. I have been using Wolfgang Concours on my vehicles for years now. I have applied the Total Swirl Remover, Finishing Glaze, and lastly the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant via Porter Cable Polisher. I have been very pleased with the results, especially its ability to remove swirls and restore a shine. However, I joined this forum to kind of get some new opinions, insights, and ideas to different methods or products.

I would like to keep the swirl remover as my initial process, I absolutely love how it removes all the imperfections. After that, I am open to suggestions. I do like how the Finishing Glaze + DG Paint Sealant provides protection and shine. This truck is my daily driver and is not garage kept so it is exposed to all the different types of weather 365 days a year. The paint is in great condition aside from a few scratches which I will be fixing via a scratch repair kit.

I have heard great things about this Ultima Paint Guard Plus product, but the rest I am all new to. So, any suggestions? Do I need to provide any more information?

Welcome to AGO! If the truck's exposed nearly 24/7 then for protection then you might want to consider some options like DG 601/111 or 601/105 mixed at a 1:4 ratio, Collinite 845 or Menzerna Powerlock, heard nothing but great things about the durability & looks of all of these, UPG+ as well.

Welcome from a fellow Tacoma owner! It's hard to beat your process as is IMO. I would top WDGPS with a nice carnuba maybe? Unless you want to go the coating route. (Opti-Coat, GTechniq, etc.)

Thanks for the welcoming remarks. I am already doing some research to everyone's suggestions. I have come across a question already.

1) Is there a difference in durability between the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant you apply via polisher and the Deep Gloss Liquid Seal in which you spray on and walk away? If they are about even in what they do, it would obviously be worth my time to use the latter to save myself an entire step of polishing then buffing off.

Thanks man! Are you on the TacomaWorld forum as well? Thanks for the advice, I have been wondering if it was worth it to add another coat of something after the Paint Sealant.

What is it you don't like about these products that is making you want to change?

There's honestly nothing I don't like about my current setup. I was just lurking on here and I think I saw a phrase "free your mind". I have been so close-minded since I found Wolfgang I haven't really followed any new products that might provide the same results with less work or time. I'm just open to suggestions.

Thanks, this stuff looks like it has some great reviews!

I have a question about wheel sealants/polishes. What is the common agreement among these? I've read Poorboys is great. I read something that Opti has a product too? The Poorboys looks good but dang it's $20 :wow:

Nice truck dude! :props:

Whilst you might have saw the "free your mind" you will also see, "find what you like and use it".

Some might say play around with some carnubas. Might be fun to get a 6 pack of Dodo just for the heck of it. Myself I don't play around with them so much. I find what works (for me) and generally stick with it.

That being said, there are a whole host of WOWA sealants that are interesting.
Then again, what about going for a coating? Opti coat or Cquartz would be the way to go on your Tacoma with it being exposed 24/7 - 365. I've got several I'm working with around here to get coatings done for. One was supposed to be done this weekend (2012 Sentra) but was in a MASSIVE hail storm a week ago. Boy is it trashed! I counted over 30 hail dents in the roof alone! :(

Just an idea....

Thanks man. I'm just always looking to see where I can improve or upgrade to something better or easier to apply. I've already learned a lot just browsing around on here. Got my wish list up to $83 worth of products. I definitely want a wheel sealant or coating that will provide great protection for my DD! If I have to spend some money to do that then so be it, but of course I like to spend less if I can.
