Thinking of buying a pancake air compressor, which is 100psi, to dry my engine after cleaning. Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated. (Cost less than master blaster)

You'll have a volume problem, not a pressure problem. Air compressors also aren't meant to run 100% of the time (usually). So if it's running all the time to fill that small tank, the motor could burn out. However, my cheap 26 gallon does a fair job.

Good point AdamL. I didn't think of that. Have you tried the Sidekick Blaster?

I have a pancake one from harbor fright I like it but you can't run anything off of it. I use it to clean MF pads and door jams and that's all I use it for. If you want to just do what I do it's great.

I don't how a leaf blow is more effective than the master blaster. Yes its cheaper but definitely not more effective. The master blaster has attachments made to get into tight areas.

I use the leaf blower off my craftsman vacuum with the car attachments and it works great so far.

If you just drying the car leaf blow is great. But if you want to blow out inside of car get a compressor. Go to Harbor Freight.
