Had this one planned for a month or so. It appears the paint on the 991 cars isn't any harder than the black paint on the previous gen vehicles. This poor fellow special ordered the car, dealer washed it after he told them not to...first batch of swirls installed. After that, he was told by a "mobile detailer" that he knew what he was doing and not to worry......second batch of swirls installed. The gentleman traveled over 2 hours to have me properly remove the defects, and Opti Coat the car. This 911 has been washed a total of two times and looks like it does in the before photos, pretty horrific! I only had one full day to get this job done so I was super pressed for time, though I made sure to get at least one 50/50 and post correction shot. Total time was a little over 13 hours.

Unfortunately being so pressed for time, that was all I got during. The sun was already setting by the time I pulled the car out for some "after" shots so these will have to do.

Looks good Brain, seems I never get many high end cars. Just DD's and soccer vans, but I love doing them what I can.

I don't even think the puke green 1974 Dodge Dart (which I referred to as "La Bamba") that I bought for $700 20 years ago looked that bad. What do people use to wash their cars with, scotchbrite pads?

Ahh, the lives of "The rich and Famous". Who apparently have time for nada today.

Beautiful work Brian!
Well worth a 2 hour drive for the owner to get the 911 back in shape, hope he was happy!

I sell Porsches. The paint is so soft if you look at it it swirls. It seems softer with the 991's then the 997's. You are right you have to get it fresh and there is still probably swirls under the Plastic stuff all over the car.

Holly shite that thing looks like it was abused by a pre-school car wash!
Very nice save!
You made it look like it should always look!

Porsche paints. Probably one of the softest paints out there! Anything will scratch and being black, makes it even worse!

out standing work. Them paints are some of the hardest to correct due to them being realy soft.

I would like to ask to owner how could he let that car get so bad. He should sue whoever washed it. Even if it was himself. Great work.

Wow, what a transformation. I'm sure the owner was very pleased.
