just used DG-501, 601, then 105 on my pearl white Toyota RAV4 and was amazed with the shine. was wondering if there is any other use for DG-601 aside from applying prior to DG-105? Can I use it before a non-Duragloss LSP such as BFWDAFPP or 4star sealant or any other carnauba wax? Thanks in advance.

See post 17 http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/products-guides/29126-duragloss-601-polish-bonding-agent-information-2.html#post361981

Did you apply the 601 separately from the 105 and/or 501? Several people mix 106 with 501 or 105. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/products-guides/26536-combining-duragloss-601-105-501-a.html

Yeah most of us DG users mix #601 into a small bottle with #105/501 or 111 to add to the durability and/or gives you the ability to layer another product ontop of it right away.

As far as other uses, looking forward to seeing what other say about this, sounds interesting...subscribed.

Fro AG:

This is a one of a kind product! Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent serves as “glue” between the paint and a polymer paint sealant in the sense that it encourages a better bond and longer life of the sealant. You can get double the protection and double the length of protection by simply adding one coat of PBA before your last step product.

Duragloss PBA is completely transparent and undetectable underneath the sealant. It removes old wax, which can cause the final coat of protection to appear cloudy, and thereby enhances the final gloss.

Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent takes only a few more minutes to apply and its benefits are long-lasting. PBA potentially doubles the life of your polymer protection. It’s an excellent product to use year-round, but its heightened protection makes it a necessity for winter paint preparation.

To apply Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent, spread a very thin coat over your vehicle. Allow the product to haze but do not remove it.

Apply the paint protection of your choice on top of the hazed PBA.

Remember that PBA works with polymer sealants, such as Duragloss Clear Coat Polish #111. During the application and removal of the sealant, you will remove both products at once. We recommend using a soft, clean Cobra Microfiber Towel for the easiest buffing.

I wonder if 601 can be used in place of Zaino's discontinued Z-1 before a coat of Z-2???? My last bottle of Z-1 is almost done and it would be a whole lot cheaper then ZFX.

applied 601 by hand (after 501), let haze, then 105 by rotary and finishing pad. so, I assume I can use 601 before 4 Star and BF sealants?

DG at one point said 601 could be used with any polymeric sealant. Some time later they changed it to say it would only work with DG sealants. I don't know. Sounds like some testing is in order...any takers??

I could try 601 with Z-2 but I'm not sure I would be able to tell if it works well.

601 with Colly 845 maybe 1 yr of protection. From DG standpoint I can see why they would retract that statement. If you already have a fav sealant and buy 601 your prob not going to buy 105. If they say they are a combo and work together your going to by both. I am going to try 601/845 this spring on one of my DD.

Its the same stuff as Z1, they didn't even bother changing the smell.

Perfect timing as I've just got my hands on some #601.

I'm in the same boat - I would like to know if anyone has mixed #601 with other non Duragloss sealants besides #105.

Checking again to see if anyone has premixed #601 with another brand.

I'm tempted to try a 4*/#601 mixture. Just want to see if anyone has success, tips, or warnings regarding ratios.

If you guys want to test how 601 affects other products, choose a small section and do a 50/50. On one side do sealant of choice only, on the other do sealant of choice mixed with 601.

I personally quit testing and just stuck with the products it was originally designed for. Synergy :)
