Hi!

I've been watching a few videos every day in preparation to work on my pickup in a week or so for a full detail/paint restoration. (I'll be posting before/during/after pics when I complete it) For years I have been using armor all to clean and protect the dash, doors, trim, ect. In one of the videos, I don't remember which, they said that armor all isn't good to use on cars since it acts like a green house effect and traps the heat in the material, which, over time can cause cracks in the material covered. Unfortunately, this has happened to my dash already, with two large cracks from the window to the steering wheel. Well, I don't have the money to replace it, but I am considering getting a dash cover to at least hide it.

So my question is, what interior detailer would you recommend I replace Armor All with? I'm looking for protection, scent, well, really your favorite.

Thanks for responding!

Earl

Einszett Cockpit Premium is my go-to. If you really feel the need for a dressing, a VERY light coat of 303 Protectant.

Where to begin?

If you are looking for OTC - I like Meguiar's Interior Detailer and Mothers Protectant.

AG - I hear a lot of positives for Chemical Guys Inner Clean and for protection 303 Aerospace.

Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant. Not glossy, looks great!
I also use Meg's #40 and 303.

I like the DP Interior Surface Protectant :xyxthumbs:
It has a light cleaning ability and leaves a fabulous non-glossy matte perfect looking finish. I can even use it on the metal interior surfaces and it does not leave any unwanted residue.

For being a store bought brand I've never had any problem with Turtle Wax Ice total interior spray. For the price it's good stuff

If you want cleaning ability, Megs APC+ its also very economical, if you are in a budget.

+1 for DP interior cleaner and Ultima Interior Protectant.

DP interior cleaner has been great for me to remove light blue jean dye transfer off my tan leather seats.

My interior isn't filthy and just needs a spritz here and there of cg innerclean to keep it looking nice. It smells nice too. If it got bad I would use cg all clean.
