Wife's Pathfinder is almost complete, but I need to decide what to do with the sun induced cracks in the front of the dashboard.

1. I could put bandaids on it:cry:

2. I could use a product like Plast-Aid mixed with color to patch the cracks.

3. I could just buy the replacement crash pad ($338) and go through the pain of dismantling the dashboard enough to replace it.

4. Saw a product at stockinteriors.com that is a cover. Here's a shortened link to the page.
86-93 Nissan Pathfinder Dash Cover Late 86-93 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 (http://tinyurl.com/d8hagtq)

Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the dash cover approach?

Best regards,
Jim

I'm gonna say that the dash cover would be a cheap and easy way out but it probably won't fit very snug. You could go the route of buying a plastic welder and just seal those up mainly just so the sun doesn't crack it any further. I think I saw one at Harbor Freight and they were relatively cheap. Putting Flintstones bandaids on it would be pretty cool too, though.

Try RockAuto Parts Catalog (http://rockauto.com). They usually have pretty good prices.
