I know applying very thin and even coats of wax is the best way to not get hollowgrams but does anyone have any other good ways of preventing them or if they do occur how to remove them

Holograms are typically caused by the use of a rotary buffer with a heavy cutting pad, heavy cutting compound, or a combination of both. The circular scratch pattern is caused by the rotation of machine.

I'm assuming if you are getting holograms from applying a "wax" you are using some sort of cleaner wax with abrasives in it. I would recommend applying a cleaner wax using a DA (instead of a rotary) and a polishing or finishing pad to prevent the appearance of holograms.

The simplest way to remove holograms is to polish with a DA machine for your last step.
