Not sure if I will get a response or if this thread will be booted, but I figured this section will get the most attention so here goes...

I have MAC Longtubes, UPR K member, and a MAC O/R Prochamber(Aluminized) sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. Before install I want to paint/ cleanup the prochamber before install. I am not so happy with the finish and am after a cleaner look with durability in mind.

I have seen anything from powder coat, to high temp ceramic paint, to plastidip used on exhaust systems? What is my best option here in terms of durability. I don't want this to fail in a few months or a year.

Also another question regarding the K-member any clear finish that will help the coating on the chrome headers and chromoly K. I aiming to make finish last longer and make cleaning easier.

Just looking for additional ideas here, thanks in advance!

With chrome and aluminum I've had great success with Flitz. Make sure all finger prints are cleaned off before brining the pipes up to temperture. Granted many will never see anything but the exhaust tips but if you clean up everything with Flitz they will shine and remain protected.

I did this on all the Harley exhaust swaps in my riding days. Worked like a champ. Much prefer aluminum over chrome.

A small amount goes a long way. I think you can get it at hardware stores. Their powerball is awesome. Hook it up to a drill and let the tools do the work for ya.

Good luck.

Here are some pictures so you guys have an idea. The new puppy was enjoying the new mods as much as I was. These were big toys for him, good thing he quickly realized they weren't chew toys.

Before I add a coating of high temp paint to the mid pipe, what prep work should I do (keep in mind it is a new exhaust)
