I'm in the process of "modernizing" my detailing equipment and products. I came across a set of 6-inch Lake Country Variable Contact Pads (cutting, polishing, waxing) that I bought when I first started using a Porter Cable 7424. These were the recommended pads at the time. Over the years I pretty much switched over to 6.5 inch Meg's pads. I'm not sure why. The Variable Contact pads worked. Must have been drinking too much Meg's kool-aide.
Anyone still using these Variable Contact pads and do they have a place with the most up-to-date products?
(How I am I "modernizing" my equipment? Just ordered some 5.5 thin pads and some Meg's Microfiber Discs. I'll keep my "antique" 7424 until it quits working.)
