What do you guys think is the most durable sealent on the market? So far, I've tested Zaino Z-1, Duragloss 105/601 and Col 845. So far, the Z-1 has proven the most durable, by far, on my vehicles. Keep in mind I live in Michigan so I have to deal with winter, salt and lots of car washing. Any other products out there worth trying or should I be trying combinations for max durability?

I can't speak from experience but my guess goes to Collinite 845 and Menzerna PL.

I've used a bunch of different sealants/waxes and for durability, either FK1000 or #845 - two THIN coats of course but they are the longevity kings in my book.

I'm looking forward to trying the DG #105 and 501, mixed with #601 this spring as they're the newest DG products I have now, also have Coli #845 but its a wax, not a sealant though, so not sure why its mentioned in this thread.

So Z 1 was more durable than DG and Collonite? Interesting, how much longer did it last?

For me, BFWD really lasts a while.

And looks great!

I'm pretty sure OP means Z-2. Z1 was their adhesion product, same as DG PBA 601.

The most durable sealant I'm aware of is Klasse High Gloss Paint Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/klashiggloss.html)

Sorry, I did mean Z-2. I check durability by doing the half & half hood test during winter months. This last time I did 1/3 sections with Z-2, DG 105 and Collinite 845. After 4 months of winter the Z-2 seems to be the only product thats left on the hood. I've done this a few times in the past but this last time I added 845 to the mix because of all the great durability reviews. I'm no expert but I judge a product by how it beads and sheets water after each wash. I'm sure these are all great products but the Z-2 seems like it holds up to winter and frequent washes the best. I'm thinking of trying some other DG products like 101 or 111. For now I'm sticking with Z-2 on my current DD and will use up the 105 and 845 on a couple other vehicles I maintain. Durability is my number one concern so I would still like to find a product more durable then Z-2 if there is such an animal.

Most durable sealant for me has been DG 501 and the most durable wax has been Collinite. This is probably why I now use both for my vehicles.

Gonna have to order me some Klasse then!!! I'll compare it to the Z-2 when winter rolls around again. Would like to hear from more Klasse users. Is it an easy product to work with???
