Hi, This winter has me daydreaming about warmer weather and my spring detail. I could use some recommendations for a great looking and durable wax. I heard a lot about Collinite 476 and 916, but am open to your suggestions. I have a Ford Edge with Dark Blue Pearl Metallic paint. Here is what it looks like: Dark Blue Pearl Metallic 2012 Ford Edge Gallery | GTCarLot.com - Car Color Galleries (http://gtcarlot.com/colors/Ford/Edge/2012/Dark+Blue+Pearl+Metallic/)

Thanks!

Collinite is about as durable as they come and you can't beat the price

Either are fantastic. 915 is a bit more bright, IMO 476 looks a bit better on dark colors.

This has been my go to wax for the last year and price is very good.

And then there is good ol' Collinite 845. Excellent liquid wax.

don`t forget the prep work first to get to your blue sine...

You mentioned the color, so I'll mention my go-to. Wolfgang's DGPS. Protects as a sealant should, and offers looks like a fine carnauba.

Two things that come to mind whenever I see a thread like this...

First, as mentioned....the look is really in the prep. Cleansed and level-as-possible paint will reflect more evenly, and will make your LSP of choice look as good as possible.

And, related....second: 90% process, 10% product. There are often two camps on this, and I know it's subjective, but IME/IMO, wax selection is way overrated. Don't get me wrong - I have Souveran on the shelf, and I have no regrets in buying it (and offering it to those who want to spend the dough), but on a DD, choose with durability as a priority and spend the saved dollars elsewhere...for example, good towels that will help you prevent marring and otherwise maintain the finish.

Sorry for the tangent there. :) Good luck...

I would choose the #915. Much better on darker cars. I use it on my Brilliant Black Jeep and much deeper shine than 476

for a wax

for a sealant bfwdps powerlock wg ps etc, can't really go wrong, doesn't get much more boring than collinites but as long as you like it thats all that really matters.. their durability is stout.

I can barely see what they are...time for full size jars so we can see the labels better. :props:

Vanilla ice is really nice and one I suggest getting!

I got Salute the Fruits and CTR recently but only used them a little. So the opinion is still open on those two
