So as some of the regular forum readers may know I own some MotoMetal chrome wheels.

So far I am doing a pretty good job of keeping them clean with C.G. diablo wheel cleaner that I got on BOGO, ( & for the record BOGO rocks ), a Daytona JR. Wheel brush and a few other brushes from AG.

Keeping them clean is not too bad a chore but I wanted to really be able to put a metal polish on them so I decided to use the Meguiars Brilliant Solution Wheel Polishing Kit. The kit comes with some Metal Polish and some foam cleaner. You need to have your own drill. I don't think Meguiars has a drill section.

Polishing the wheels was pretty straight forward as most of you already know how to use a DA polisher this would be pretty simple for most of you. Having the handle to guide the foam core makes it a easy job. There is a little bit of a learning curve that would go along with each different wheel that you would use it on but after your first wheel you will definitely have a good idea of what needs to be done for the remaining wheels.

I would have taken pictures of the foam polisher in use but I would have needed a third arm for that. I don't know anyone who has a place to get a third arm. What I did get some pictures of is how much dirt and black stuff came off the wheels and was on the foam polisher.

I gotta admit I look pretty good there....ohh wait what I I meant to say is wow look at all that oxidation!!

I followed the directions that you can watch on a YouTube video or read off the box and it got pretty clean.

There is one little section that did not get clean but I am not too worried about how it will effect the polishing procedure the next time I use it.

Over all I am very pleased with the kit. I will probably get a better polish for the next time. I am thinking some Flitz or doing some heavy duty research on some of the Wolfgang products. I can easily say though that if you have some chrome wheels that you want polished....this has my recommendation. :dblthumb2:

I will be posting updates in the future when I use the product again to let you know how the foam stays together & how clean or dirty it gets.
