This is a work in progress. 1985 black Porsche. Initial condition was terrible. Paint is as soft as butter. I'm working for 85% correction. This is shots of the passenger door. The is with ONE pass of Rupes 21, Rupes green pad, Rupes blue compound. I will make one massive post when it's all done. :dblthumb2:

Rupes is a polish-destroying defect-eating machine. That was one pass in about 3 minutes with maybe two pounds of pressure just to guide the machine.

Carrera. HUGE whale tail on the back. We ordered new emblems for it. WOW expensive!

Oh by the way, other than the top and the hood, the entire car is single stage paint. Interesting experience to go from one section to another and have your pads turn jet black in 10 seconds. As of 6:55pm CST, I have no clean pads. Not one. It's like being without ammo?

I polished my buddy's 86 911 and it was the same way. The roof was base/clear but the painted sunroof was single as were both fenders.

No kidding! I have done several 1992+ and they weren't that way.
